Definitely an “itch to scratch” car for me, although I’m sure this one will go “EAG high” on price. I was a bad wreck in a red one just like this when I was young. I like the coupes best, but I’d take just about any Z3/Z4 M coupe/roadster.

Haha no, but I wish I could bid 50000 $1s

I ‘watch’ almost all of the older BMW listings and follow the 2002 and E39 M5's pretty closely, in particular. Haven’t registered as a bidder - yet...

Gotta get that garage built first!

I’m afraid that I’d get carried away and buy something if I register. My wife is OK with it, conceptually, but we have to reduce our current fleet first. :)

It’s true. I need to gain a garage and lose an Audi. In all honesty a 2002 will probably be what I end up with first. I really want an 70's Alfa GTV but they just go for way too much money. The list is (in no particular order) BMW 2002, Alfa GTV, another E46M3, E39M5, Z3/Z4 M coupe/roadster, Honda S2000, E38 7 series, E30.

The 2002, E30, E39, and E46 are the highest on the list by a large margin. The others I would only scoop for a really good deal. If I got another E46 it would have to be a coupe, manual, and a unique color (oxford green, laguna seca blue, techno violet).

Well, I’m sure you’ve seen this one, then - I’d love an S2000, but it’s not really at the top of my list, either. But this one is local to me. My list changes constantly, but currently it’s E39 M5, E46 M3 ‘vert, 2002 - and everything else further down. I’m just fiddling around online anyways, though - probably more serious in the spring.

I did see it just after the M coupe, it’s a nice one! My list changes often too, but the cars I mentioned have been there for a looong time. E39 is really the best pick (I think) one of the most (if not the most)fun cars I have ever driven. Potential for wallet gouging is the only think that has kept me away thus far.

The S2000 is a car I have test drove almost a dozen times now. I’ve made an offer on two, and bid on one. It’s just never worked out or there has been a car I liked better at the time. I bought an 2004 STi instead of the the first one I drove, the M3 instead of the second etc... I figure if I’m meant to have one, it will fall into my lap at some point haha.

Sadly, I haven’t driven most of the cars that I’m interested in - I plan to fix that in the coming months—
